NFC Title Game: Philadelphia Eagles @ Arizona Cardinals
Philadelphia Wins if...they control the line of scrimmage and are successful at running with Michael Westbrook on offense. The Cardinal D forced Jake Delhomme to throw a lot last week, and we all saw the results of that. On defense, it's simple, stop the Kurt Warner to Larry Fitzgerald connection.
Arizona Wins if...Tim Hightower supplements Kurt Warner's passing game, and Anquan Bolden is able to play at 100%. Defensively, much like last week Arizona will need to control another big time runner in Westbrook, and force Donovan McNabb's young receivers to crack.
Player to watch- Brian Dawkins(above) was huge against both Minnesota and New York, wrecking havoc with Eli Manning, and providing the heart to the Philly D. If he can keep Kurt Warner in check, the Eagles should soar down to Tampa.
Prediction: Eagles win it 27-20 on the legs of Westbrook.
AFC Title Game: Baltimore Ravens @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Baltimore Wins if...rookie phenom Joe Flacco plays mistake-free football at the helm of the Ravens attack. The Baltimore defense should challenge Ben Roethlisberger, and if they can control Willie Parker as well, a road win in Pittsburgh isn't out of the question.
Pittsburgh Wins if...Heath Miller has more catches than Ravens safety Ed Reed. If they can silent Reed and rattle Joe Flacco, the Steelers should be able to advance to the big game for the 2nd time in 4 seasons.
Player to watch- Santonio Holmes(above) can provide hidden yards on punt returns like he did last week against San Diego, easing the Steelers' exposure to the aforementioned Reed and Ray Lewis.
Prediction: Steelers win a grudgematch, 9-6 as both defenses showcase their speed and grit.
That's right. A Keystone State Super Bowl. Can Philly do the double? Will Big Ben add a ring to the second hand for the Pittsburgh 'Stillers'? We shall see.
