The Arizona Cardinals are Finally Super

I want to say Arizona Cardinals and Super Bowl in the same sentence. The Arizona Cardinals in the Super Bowl. How about it?
-Arizona QB Kurt Warner(above) after 32-25 win over Philadelphia.

Believe it. The Arizona Cardinals have finally reached the world's mega-event that is the Super Bowl. With their dramatic 32-25 win Sunday over the Eagles, they proved that miracles do happen.

Gone is the frustration. Gone is the heartbreak. Gone is the tag as laughing stock of the league. The Cardinals have truly 'Shocked the World'. Live it up Arizona, you've got a Super Bowl to attend.

The conquest of the Eagles was not a simple task. Despite a healthy 24-6 Arizona halftime lead, Philadelphia reared back in the third quarter, scoring 19 consecutive points on three straight drives in just over 8 minutes. The last of the trio of scores seemed to break the back of the Cardinals as Donovan McNabb connected with rookie DeSean Jackson on a 62-yard touchdown strike. The score solidified all momentum in Philly's favor, and forced the Cardinals to play catch up for the first time all day.

But for once in the fate of the Cardinals, the challenge they faced in the fourth quarter was not going to be left as a failure. Led by Kurt Warner, the Cardinals completed one of the finest drives in recent playoff memory, going 72 yards on 14 plays in just under the three minutes. Despite the dire situation that Warner and company faced heading into the drive, they left as legends, and for Warner himself, the drive just may have put him into the Hall of Fame.

Warner joins a select club of quarterbacks who have reached the Super Bowl at least three times, and is the second quarterback in history to take two different teams to the big game after Craig Morton. He has been down and out and left for dead time after time, yet the comeback kid is never out.

From grocery store worker to Super Bowl Champion, and from a has-been aging quarterback in New York to a revitalized quarterback in Arizona, to only the second quarterback to have the opportunity to win two rings with two teams. Say what you want, feel like you'd like. But folks, on that 2:53 drive Sunday afternoon, Kurt Warner entered the Hall of Fame.
